What Customers Say About Hamilton Beach 42115 3-in-1 Hot-Beverage Center, Black:

I use 2 pods for about 11 oz of H2O. I am using the cafe halo brand flavored variety packs (from Amazon - also reviewed). and have had no problems so far (about 3 months now).

The Cuisenart was an excellent product which I highly recommend, and still have for occasions when I need multiple cups. Yes - it is mostly plastic, so thanks to the reviewers for pointing that out. I had been using a Cuisenart 14 cup coffee maker, drinking about 2 to 3 cups a day, and grinding my own beans every few days.

I read the manual (always do). Perfect for my tastes. However, I cut down on my coffee consumption and found that method to be too much time, hassle, etc for a single cup of coffee each morning.

I did my usual research on amazon and decided for the price, the Hamilton Beach 3-in-1 was worth a try.

I would, and do, highly recommend this brewer to everyone. I tried this and immediately loved the convenience and more so the delicious flavor of the brewed tea. Just tap out the leaves/grounds in the trash and rinse. Needless to say everyone needed to give it a try and it gets lots of use every day and I have not has even a moments trouble with it, except for those people who seem to think the brewed tea leaves magically disapear after they use it.

I love this product. Get it, you'll really love the convenience. Periodically I take the filter and basket home and run through the dishwasher and it's just like new. I originally purchased it to brew tea, as I work for a tea company and at work we, of course, have lots of tea.

There is no reason for this as it is wonderfully easy to clean. If it will stand up to office use it will stand up to your personal use. Personally I love the flavor you get from loose tea but hate the mess of a tea ball or brewing water and pouring over a tea infuser. As I drink most of my tea during the day I took it to the office and invited everyone to use it.

I finally discovered if I brewed the coffee into a ceramic mug first and then dumped the mug into my plastic to go coffee cup, the coffee did not have a plastic taste to it. I ordered this one cup coffee maker and love it. I just wouldn't recommend brewing directly into a plastic coffee mug unless you like the taste of plastic so "Get a Good Cup." This is a good product that makes good coffee once you figure out how much to brew to get the taste you like. When I first started using it the coffee kept having a plastic taste to it even though I had washed it prior to use, tried running vinegar through it a few times, and ran hot water through it to rinse it. It took me initially about 8 attempts to get the coffee to taste like I like it trying to figure out how many pods to use or how much ground coffee to use.

The concept is good, but the performance leaves much to be desired. Unfortunately, when this item was received, it was defective and I was unable to use it. I chose not to have a replacement sent since the previous one that was given to me as a gift only lasted six months.

I made that mistake only to be embarrassed by customer service when I realized it a user problem and the maker (dumb me). I have had this unit now for 3 months it brews an excellent single cup of coffee, better than a Keruig or Senseo both of which I also own.The design is a bit quirky but not a problem. Bottom line is this is a worth while purchase and as noted it brews a better cup of coffee than the Keruig or pod maker, again both of which I own. I give this high marks for making coffee using grinds, less so when using the Pod adapter that is included. The water goes in the front in a draw like device and that has to be closed firmly. I mention that because if you don't do that the coffee maker will appear to be defective and sputter.
